#AgentTime!

AI Hackathon 2025

What's This All About?

We're calling all you brilliant minds to team up, get creative, and build AI Agent solutions that'll totally transform how we do things and make our customers super happy.

Let's make some AI magic!

Think of AI Agents as intelligent helpers. They're computer programs that can learn from data, make choices, and take action to achieve specific goals, all without needing constant human guidance.

Example of an AI Agent: Imagine a Financial Multi-Agent that grabs data, pulls info from databases, and connects with other Agent Groups to create a super-smart system.

Example of a Non-AI Agent: A Chatbot that just spits out answers. Helpful, but not an Agent in our book.

Submission Closed

Your mission: Innovate and build AI Agent applications that achieve  at least one of the following:

Solve business process pain points, improve or enhance existing business processes, and expand business scope.

Demonstrate quantifiable results, such as increased productivity, cost or time savings, or new value creation

Utilized a feasible technical architecture with proven effectiveness

Example of a Non-AI Agent

Example of a AI Agent:

Imagine a Financial Multi-Agent that can automatically generate SQL code to retrieve data from multiple databases, seamlessly integrating with other Agent Groups to form a super-smart system. This intelligent agent not only handles data extraction and analysis but also learns from how humans collaborate and communicate across departments—enabling more effective and adaptive financial analysis.

Example of a Non-AI Agent

Example of a Non-AI Agent:

A chatbot that just replies to questions when asked. Sure, it’s useful—but it doesn’t think for itself, take initiative, or connect with other systems to get things done. That’s why it doesn’t count as an AI Agent in this competition.

So, What's an AI Agent?

Think of AI Agents as intelligent helpers. They're computer programs that can learn from data, make choices, and take action to achieve specific goals, all without needing constant human guidance.

So, What's an AI Agent?

AI Agents are intelligent helpers—they learn from data, make decisions, and act toward goals without constant human input.

To meet this competition’s definition, an AI Agent must:

  • "Make proactive decisions" based on context, without waiting for user commands.
  • "Interact with environments", connecting to systems or data sources to complete multi-step tasks.

Free Idea Group

Participants choose their own case themes, from concept to implementation, with a final demo of their results. This group encourages creative ideas with a focus on practical technology and application innovation.

Enterprise Challenge Group

Joining this group means your AI Agent project should effectively improve one of Advantech’s key processes: TTM (Time to Market), OTD (On-Time Delivery), or ITR (Issue to Resolution). We also welcome projects that can shorten process cycles, improve efficiency, or increase satisfaction—whether it's for one or multiple of these performance indicators.

Submission Requirements

  • Individuals and teams are welcome to join; team size is limited to 6 participants.
  • Give us a working prototype, a demo video, or something that shows us what your Agent can do. Ideas are cool, but we want action!
  • Send us a presentation or doc that explains your creation—what it’s for, how it works, the tech details, what it achieves, and what’s next. (Please upload it to the company OneDrive and include the link in the submission form.)
  • Demo videos: 10 minutes max, please! (Upload the video to OneDrive and share the link in the submission form.)
  • Heads up: Your entry needs to be 100% original and can't have won any other prizes or been shown off before.
